Mudrunner controls5/7/2023 True neutral is not detected "as a gear" in the mapping. My final note here is that Neutral gear is treated as its own Gear. Thankfully the low gear does not automatically reverse, you have to manually engage it in low. But when trying to stop on a slope, it isn't helpful. Pedals work fine, however the new Automatic gear has an automatic reverse which is helpful for overshot turns. The chevy pickup seems to turn tighter at low gear, rather than at speed in automatic. The steering radius seems context sensitive. Currently there is zero feedback in the wheel, very smooth. What does work on G27: Steering works fine, but is limited to maybe 200 degrees of rotation, which feels like analog stick like. Of course you can use the mouse to click most of these things, but simply put, you need a keyboard to play this game. But it is missing binding for annoyingly simply things like Winch Pull (Hard mapped to F), Release Winch (hard mapped to R), and Confirm/Close dialog box (hardmapped to Spacebar). You do have to custom map all your buttons, but it does have a dedicated Wheel and Pedal bindings. Thankfully the level of control is nearly the same as Mudrunner for driving. I have to heavily use my keyboard while using my wheel. My experience with SnowRunner so far has been that the game has been primarily made for gamepads. So if you'd like to purchase the game to try it for yourself, you can do so through the Play Store widget linked below.I am playing on PC via EGS using a Logitec G27. So if you're looking for a timewaster that has a slight learning curve, thanks to a wonky camera, then MudRunner may be a solid pickup. After all, it's nice to see such a niche series released on mobile, even if it doesn't include controller support like the console and PC versions. Still, it can be fun to tool around in the mud, and while the game's camera can be irritating, with time, I'm sure people will be able to get used to the game's controls. It's also apparent that the Shield TV is not supported whatsoever, so forget about playing the Android version of MudRunner on the big screen. Worse yet, these touch controls aren't great, thanks to a slow camera that you'll have to adjust manually constantly. This means everyone is stuck with touch controls. Sadly there is no controller support included, and I checked by testing a SteelSeries Stratus Duo over bluetooth and a Gamevice over USB. Beyond that, the game plays as you would expect, traveling from one location to the next in Soviet-era trucks as you try to complete all sorts of tasks, like operating cranes or delivering cargo, with a heavy dose of driving through realistic mud. You can pick it up for $6.99, and while in-app purchases are in the mix, it would appear there is only one in the game so far, and it's for unlocking The Valley DLC, which brings with it 3 new vehicles.
